About

One of the things that makes space waves keep players around for a long time is the way failure is turned into motivation to try again. In high-speed games, collision or the end of the journey is unavoidable, especially when players are getting used to the road. However, each failure usually gives the player one more piece of information. They can tell where the obstruction appears, how wide the gap actually is, or whether a previous operation was performed too early or too late. After a few tries, players begin to form a mental map of difficult areas. A location that once caused surprise can become a point that players proactively prepare for. This makes for a very intuitive learning process. Players don't need to read lengthy instructions to understand where they went wrong. It is the experience of failure that provides the answer. Maybe the first time the player fails because he can't change direction in time, the second time because he changes direction too strongly, and the third time because he prepares in the wrong position from before. Each time this helps refine the treatment a little more. By the time they pass the area, players often remember clearly why they succeeded. This feeling is different from just receiving a reward after completing a task. It creates a feeling of improved personal skills.
